Week 4, the home stretch

Rigoletto opened last night, despite the fact that a street fair was going on and a large band with an ACCORDION was set up outside of the stage door. Nice. Fortunately, our new Rigoletto came to town two days ago and was able to rehearse with us once before we went on. I'm singing tomorrow night and then at the big house in Pesaro, so I'm pretty jazzed about it. Tonight we're going to Rimini to sing a gala concert on the beach (doesn't suck) with the faculty members.

The Italian language test is on Monday, so after I finish brushing out the wigs from La Traviata, I have to haul my behind to school to take the test. And then, after the last show closes and I pack all of my little possessions into my suitcase and haul it to the piazza and dope myself up so I can ride the bus to Rome, it will only be a few long hours until I am back at my little house in Boston with my sweet husband and my big stupid dog. Oh Sam. How I miss his sweet snout.

To my readers who love to go to the street fair: just so you know, they have the same crap at street fairs in Italy as they do in the US, only it's priced in euros and the signs are in Italian.

And as an aside, my hair is really really curly in Italy. Who knew?
